How to make latte foam...

Hi :) So the other day, I came home from school and my brother was making a latte for himself and he had found out how to make the milky foam that goes on top of lattes. It is actually really easy and I wanted to share how to make it the homemade way with you!

Step 1: Half fill a jar with milk.

Step 2: Put the lid on and shake well for 30 seconds.

Step 3: Take the lid off  then put it in the microwave for another 30 seconds.

Step 4: Take it out and there should be a layer just on the top of foam. Spoon the it on top of the latte.

VoilĂ !

That, my friends, is how you make latte foam. If you have any idea what the foam is actually called then feel free to tell me in the comment section below because I really want to know! Post again soon xx

Introducing my guinea pigs...

Hi, so basically, last week was a little busy - plus I have had a sleepover on Friday and was tired over the whole weekend - so I didn't get to post anything new but I am just doing a quick post today. :) By the way, I want to remind all of you lovely people who look at my blog that I won't always be writing about beauty and hair, do not fear!
I only recently realised that I haven't actually posted about Caramel and Lolly (my cute guinea pigs) since I told you about them in my first post. So I am going to do just that!

When I got Caramel and Lolly, they were the only guinea pigs left in the shop which I guess is lucky really because I would've felt bad leaving all the other guinea pigs behind (don't judge lol). I was planning on getting two females, so I was delighted to find out they were sisters.
I had been waiting ages to be allowed to get guinea pigs and I was finally getting them, it was probably one of the best days in my life! Excuse my cheesiness, please. :)

This is Caramel, she likes eating, annoying her sister, and hiding in the sleeping area of their hutch. She absolutely hates getting her nails cut and going to the vets - she always sulks at me for the rest of the day whenever I cut her nails.

This is Lolly, she likes cuddles and sleeping on top of their wooden bridge. She has a weird obsession with moving their toys around the cage... don't ask! I also have a sneaky suspicion that she has something against me because she is always doing number twos on my lap!

So that was a little introduction to my guinea pigs! <3 I promise that I am going to post about something different next time, but what it's going to be about, I am not telling!
Will post soon xx

My latest beauty obsessions...

Hi again! :)
This is going to be a post all about my latest beauty obsessions. Some of these buys I have literally only just got like a couple of weeks ago but since using them, I have fallen in love with them! Some of them I have tried over the holidays and I will be able to tell you the positives and the negatives of them. So hopefully you will find this helpful if you have the same skin and hair care problems as me.

As you may have guessed from my last post, I absolutely love the make-up brand, Collection. They have some great make-up like the Lasting Perfection concealer and the clear mascara, Colour Lash.
However much I love some of their products, I have found some can be a bit temperamental like the No Clump definition mascara. It clumped the first time I used it, I've only used it once though so I am willing to give it another go, especially as my mum uses it and seems to like it.

This Perfecting Minerals powder is also in the Collection collection. :) I packed it when I went on holiday as it is quite small and easy to fit in. It gives you a concealer and powder in one which is very handy. The only problem I have about this, is that when its near to running out, it is very hard to get the powder out.

I am using hairspray more often now because I have started curling my hair for school. This is, has been, and will always be my favourite hairspray. There are lots of different types of hairsprays within this brand (VO5) like Ultimate hold and High volume. They are really good because they are weather resistant and once you've sprayed it on, your hair is still flexible. It also brushes out nicely and doesn't tangle easily through the day.

Right, so just before I went back to school, my mum got me dry shampoo because I have a long fringe that goes to the side and my hair can get really oily. I had been complaining about it going in lines during the day and it had been annoying me but now I've got this, I haven't had to worry about that because it cleanses and revitalises my hair immediately after putting it on. I can just quickly spray it on at lunch and my fringe is revived.

So that's all the products I am absolutely obsessed with at the moment! I hope you enjoyed this post because I enjoyed sharing it with you. Will be writing more soon xx ;)

About my blog and make-up for school...

Hi, I'm Chocolatedreams! My blog is going to be mainly about hair, beauty and lifestyle but I'm going to write about stuff I just feel like sharing with you. Like my guinea pigs! <3 I love them, their names are Caramel and Lolly and they are sisters.
And because I love them and I am such a generous person I will definitely post about them sometimes! :) That's enough about my blog...

Most of us are back at school now so I thought I would write about what make-up to use for school. You don't want it too obvious that you're wearing make-up in school, mainly because lots of schools don't allow it. Lets face it, most of us are rebels and wear at least a bit of it for school but if you don't feel comfortable with wearing make-up then don't wear it just for the sake of it. I'm going to show you what make-up I use for school.

I use concealer just to cover up any spots and redness. Concealer should only cover up small blemishes you want to hide, if you want a full on cover-up then I would go for foundation but personally I don't like wearing foundation for school because it feels heavier.

Instead of foundation, I use a powder instead. I like it as it feels lighter than foundation and still covers up well. Powder is also good for setting the make-up underneath so you won't have to keep re-applying concealer all the time.

I also use blusher. If you have rosy cheeks already then you probably won't need this but obviously, after you have put on the powder, it can sometimes cover up the rosiness of your cheeks which can make it look a bit un-natural. Especially if you use foundation.

For school, I've started to wear clear mascara because I think it can be a bit noticeable sometimes when you put on tinted mascara. I also like clear mascara because I already have dark lashes and I wear glasses which means when I put them on, the tinted mascara comes off my lashes and onto the lenses and it gets annoying. :)

If you do want to wear a tinted black/brown mascara then I suggest you get a mascara that doesn't clump easily. If you get a really clumpy mascara then you will end up with un-natural looking eyelashes and will be more likely to get caught wearing it in school. And that won't be fun!

That's all for now but I'll be posting soon! xx
**By the way, has anyone heard Fireproof, from One Direction's fourth album Four? I heard it and I honestly love it!**
