LAST - My Favourite Makeup Look of the Week (6)

Hello people! I am so so sorry that I didn't post when I should've last week but I will make it up to you I promise! This is going to be the LAST Favourite Makeup Look of the Week post which is really sad! I hope you have enjoyed these sort of posts and let me know in the comments if you would like me to do some more another time.

This makeup look is going to be very classic because I love classic looks and this look is one of my favourite looks to try out especially for a special occasion.  I usually do this look around Christmas time because of the red lippy but you could change the red lippy for a pink to make it easier to wear at different times in the year.

First of all, the only eye shadow you really need is a neutral one that roughly matches the colour of your skin. This is the eye shadow I found that roughly matched my skin colour. The whole point of getting a neutral eye shadow is because you want the eyeliner in the next step to be the main focus on the eyes.

Now onto eyeliner. It's hard to explain how to do your eyeliner in writing so all I can say is if you don't know how to then look it up on YouTube, I'm sure there's a video on it somewhere! The main thing you need to do for this look is make a small flick on the edge of the eye and make the line not too thick, but not exactly thin. Basically enough that you can tell you're wearing eyeliner. The eyeliner I used for the top eyelid, is the Mega Effects liquid eyeliner from Avon. Then I lined my waterline with the Glimmerstick Flick eyeliner, also from Avon.

You can use any eyeliners though as long as you use a liquid eyeliner for the top (to make it bold) and a pencil for your waterline (NEVER wear liquid eyeliner on your waterline - it will not end well!). Then finally, to complete it, put on some mascara that thickens your lashes. I used the Waterproof Wonder'Full mascara by Rimmel London.

Now for your lips, you can use something red to make it the complete classic look. You can either use lipstick which will be very bold (I use ColorTrend Colour Smoothies lip balm in Ruby Rush from Avon) or you can use a lip gloss to make it more glossy (I use a red ColourWorks lip gloss). Or you can go with less colour to be able to pull it off on a more casual day and just use a lip balm like I did today. The lip balm I used is the Strawberry Born Lippy lip balm from Body Shop.

That was all for today, I hope you liked it! I don't know how soon I will put up the next post because I'm going back to school (NOOOOO!) later this week and I might go back to posting only once a week but we will wait and see. Post soon xx
**Who else goes back to school this week? And if you don't, when do you go back? Comment down below.**

My favourite makeup look of the week (5) ...

Hi again! I'm so sorry this post is a little bit late, I was meant to post it earlier on Sunday but I couldn't find any time which is bad I know. Anyway... now I'm here and this is the FIFTH Makeup Look of the Week post and I'm so happy about it! I'm also really sad because I liked being able to do more posts but it's nearly the end of the holidays... :( We will just have to make the most of it!

So... This makeup look is going to be probably the most dramatic one that I have come up with for one of these posts. There isn't much to say about it apart from, you're gonna have to reach for your darkest eye shadows and lipsticks!

Like the last makeup look I did, this one also includes a bit more makeup than I usually do which is just some sort of eye makeup and something on the lips. This time, I'm going to use my new Sleek Blush By 3 Palette from their Limited Nautical Collection Edition that I bought on my Westfield haul. If you want to go check it out a bit more then you can go to my previous post which is called something like My Shopping Haul in Westfield (I never actually check what I called them... so yeah!).
I am only going to use the darkest shade because the other's are too light for this look I think. You only need to put a tiny amount (I mean it - I put too much on before and it looked horrible!) of it on a normal blusher brush and your going to tap it on at first on the apples of your cheeks. Then you can gradually blend it out. Not too much! Otherwise you will end up looking like I did when I first tried it out!

I guess I should've done the bronzer before my blush? I don't know, I'm not exactly a makeup genius - I just experiment with it! Anyway, whether you did it before or after the blush it does not matter, do your own thing, I don't care! Back to point... Put some bronzer just underneath your cheeks and along your jawline (something like that - I can't explain! Just contour!) I used the Colour Couture Bronzer that I got from a set but it doesn't matter what bronzer you use.

I wanted to number the colours I'm using again because I think it makes it so much easier, doesn't it? Anyway, first of all, I brushed the shade Lust in LA all over your eye lid, which is a kind of dark gold (? I don't know how to explain it... it's a metallic metal of some kind! If you have the Sleek Vintage Romance Palette then please tell me what you think it is in the comments because I have no idea!) Then as I've been telling you to do in probably all of my other makeup posts, put the second shade in the corner of your lid which in this case is Love in London (oh, look at me and all my shades having cities beginning with L's!), it is the black shade with little specks of silver shimmer in.

After you have done your eyes, now you can do your lashes. The mascara that I have used is Waterproof Wonder'Full mascara by Rimmel London (that I also got from my Westfield shopping haul) because it gives a bit more volume which makes the eyes look more dramatic.

Now, for the lipstick or lip gloss! The whole point of this makeup look is for the lips to be the main feature. I think that these colours are the best because they are very rich, deep and a dark burgundy. I don't think it matters whether you choose to use a lipstick or a lip gloss but if you do use a lip gloss then it is a good idea to have one that is very pigmented. The lipstick I used is from the Ultra Lasting collection from Avon in the colour Berry Blaze and the lip gloss is from a huge ColourWorks set I got a while ago so I don't know what colour it is but it is slightly more red-toned than the lipstick.

That was all for this post, I hope you liked it. I will be posting something very holiday-y during the week so stay tuned! But for now, post soon xx
**Have you seen One Direction's Drag Me Down video? It is so cool! It was filmed at NASA Space Station and they were in astronaut suits and there were robots - I've already forced my friends and family into watching it so if you haven't watched it, you need to watch it!**

My Shopping Haul at Westfield...

Hi, this is going to be a shopping haul that I did in Westfield on Monday (huge London shopping centre) because it was the first time I've been there and I haven't done one in a while and I love doing them! I hope you like these sort of posts as well. Anyway, let's get on with the post!

I went to a lot of shops but the ones I actually bought stuff from were WHSmith's, Primark, The Perfume Shop, Boots and Superdry.

First of all, I went to WH Smith's mainly to get school stuff really. I know it's not interesting so I'm not gonna spend loads of time over each of the stationary I got but I got a clear pencil case for exams, a new sharpener, a geometry set (uugh!), highlighters, some magnetic bookmarks because the GCSE course we are doing in English next year involves reading 3 books and finally some post-it notes for revision or something like that! I also found it cool that the post it notes could go in my binder and that the bookmarks matched my binder, which I will go onto now! ...

... I had to buy a binder for English because if you didn't know already, in England the government have made all the grading different which means that the English and Maths GCSE courses next year are going to change... and they are going to be harder! Yay! Note my sarcasm. ;) But anyway...

The next thing I got was The Pointless Book 2 by Alfie Deyes (aka Pointlessblog)! I never actually got the first Pointless Book :( but this one looks really fun and random and, well, pointless really! I can't wait to start doing some of the activities in it! I wanted all of the YouTuber books on the shelves (they had nearly a whole section on books by different YouTubers!) but of course I don't have enough money to get every single thing I want so I'm happy with what I got. <3

I kept on going into different stores to find Little Mix's debut perfume Gold Magic (which smells absolutely amazing!) and I ended up finding it in Boots but then I saw this perfume, which is One Direction's latest perfume Between Us and I was so torn because I liked them both and I couldn't exactly buy both because that would just be waaay too expensive! In the end, I bought this perfume but not from Boots, from The Perfume Shop! But I am going to have to put Gold Magic on my Christmas list because I really love it! Hopefully, I can wait that long and if I get it, I will enjoy it even more than if I got it on Monday!

This was what I did end up getting from Boots! I did go in for just a mascara... but as you can see I ended up with more than that... :) I looked at the Sleek MakeUp section first (because I love Sleek MakeUp ever since one of my friends gave me two of their products for my birthday!) and I liked the look of the Limited Nautical Collection Edition Blush By 3 Palette. It looks so cool! And the shades on the palette are great.

Next to the Sleek MakeUp counter, there was a Collection one and you should by now (unless you're new, sorry!) know that I use a lot of Collection products! I saw Collection's Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencil. There were three shades, this one which is quite a pale, neutral shade called Vanilla Sky (love the name!). Then the other two, I don't know the names of, but one was pink-ish and the other was black. Then after an hour of looking at makeup, I finally found a new mascara by Rimmel London called Waterproof Wonder'Full Mascara with argan oil which sounded quite posh really!

Next I went to Primark because every shopping trip I do seems to never be complete until I've been to Primark! The first few things I picked up were some pretty hairbands that I could wear to school as well as outside school. I thought that you definitely can't go wrong with hairbands because you can just so easily throw them in and make your hair look better. I also got some scrunchies because I can then put my hair up in top-knots and ponytails. Then I got some clip thingys (you know what I mean!) so I could do a nice sort of half-up, half-down hairstyle. I am so great at describing. Cough-NOT-cough!

Then I got yet another shirt!!! I don't know why I suddenly got excited then... Anyway, there was like a whole section just full of different colours, checks and style shirts which was so cool. In the end, I bought this one because the colour matches a lot of clothes I have. The material is really different to my other shirts' material because it is thicker so I could wear it in winter as a normal top and just tie around my waist the rest of the year!

I also picked up this set of clothes hangers and the next thing while I was in the queue (it was a MASSIVE queue - bigger than Primark queues usually are - which is saying something!) just because I have got too many clothes (no wait, you can never have too many). Can I just say that the main reason that I have LOADS of clothes is because I have not actually grown out of hardly any of them, even if they are from when I was in year 7. I honestly haven't grown much at all since then and I've stopped growing completely for a year now! Although... I have been told that I keep buying clothes...

The last thing I picked up in Primark was this 5SOS bag - love it! I was thinking I wanted it as my sports kit bag but then my Mum warned me that my trainers and stuff would probably fall out - now that idea's abandoned -  and I'm going to use it as my new Catering bag so I can bring ingredients into school.

The last place I went to was Superdry!!! Now, I love Superdry but I have never actually bought something from there until now because it is expensive and I tend to buy a lot of things rather than expensive things.  So I got a Superdry backpack which I love because it is purple and the details like zips and label are in sliver glitter. So nice.

That was all for this post, I hope you liked it and to my friend who really wanted me to do this post - you better've liked it! Haha, just kidding but she actually did tell me to do a post on my shopping haul! I am hoping to do a post about my holiday in Derbyshire but I haven't got all the photos sorted out yet - I will get back to you on that one... Post soon xx
**I had to go into school this morning to collect my results from my English IGCSE and I'm really happy with my grade! Just got to keep doing well in the next proper GCSE's next year!**

My favourite makeup look of the week (4)...

Hello! I have just got back from a lovely holiday in Derbyshire which, if you didn't know already, is why I couldn't give you a normal post on Wednesday like I usually do. However I am back and I am doing the 4th Makeup Look of the Week post - the 4th one already! The holidays are going way too fast for me.

This makeup look is one of my favourites because it isn't too in-your-face but it does make it look like you have tried a bit more. I would probably wear this to a special occasion like a meal out or celebrating someone's birthday.

Before going straight into the eye shadow part of the makeup look, put a little bit of powder pink blush on the apples of your cheeks and then brushing out slightly which will make you look rosier without looking too much. Also, I wouldn't use cream blush for this because I think it might look a bit too pink on your cheeks but it's up to how much colour you want on your cheeks. The blush I'm using is by Collection in the shade Trouble.

I thought I would number the shades I'm using because it is hard to describe and this is a big palette! The first shade is the light cream pink (number 1), this goes all over your eye lid. Then you brush the darker pastel pink shade (number 2) on the outer part of your lid and up into the crease with big sweeping strokes of the brush so more colour goes on. Use the brush to blend the lighter shade into the darker shade some more.

This palette I'm using is part of the PrettyPink makeup set that was from Argos (I'm not sure if they sell this exact set anymore as I got it last Christmas but there are other sets by PrettyPink), you could use any two pink shades though as long as there is a light and dark pink.

Next up is the mascara. I would use a mascara that makes your lashes look like they have more volume but it doesn't matter which one. The one I'm using for this look is the Volumising Mascara by Collection and for once it's a different one to what I've been using for all of my previous makeup looks!

The last thing to complete this look is the lipstick. It should be some sort of pink but I think that because it is meant to be quite a subtle look, I would go for a less bright shade or a pink lip gloss if you don't have a lipstick like this. The lipstick I'm using is by Natural Collection and is in the shade Rose Bud.

That's all for this weekend but I promise you that I will post during next week! Post soon xx
**I'm listening to Capital FM - Watch Me (Whip Nae Nae) by Silento just came on only a few minutes ago and I was dancing and singing along so much! It has to be one of my favourite songs at the moment, honest! If you haven't watched it (you must be living under a rock!) then go watch the video on YouTube because it is just too amazing to have not heard.**

My favourite makeup look of the week...(3)

Hi, I know it's a bit early but I wont have time on Sunday like I usually do. I'm just going to say that this is another Makeup Look of the Week post - the third one! - because if you have seen my other two previous weekend posts then you will know what I'm on about but if you haven't then welcome aboard (or online?)!

I think this makeup look is really cool becuase it has quite rich colours in but they go together really well and I personally think it looks nice anyway!

For my eyes, I only used the Vintage Romance Palette by Sleek. I put the shade Court in Cannes (I love it when they name the colours!), which is a copper colour with specks of black in and is the 3rd shadow along the top row, on the inside part of my top lid. Then I brushed the shade Marry in Monte Carlo, which is a shimmery deep-ish red and is the 2nd shadow along on the bottom row, on the outer corner of the top lid. I then blended the different colours together in the middle but so that there was more of the shade Court in Cannes overall on the lid. I think that these two shades compliment each other in a nice way so it looks dramatic but good.

I then put on the same mascara I put on for practically everything which is the Does It All Waterproof Mascara. If you don't know what it is (where have you been?? Just kidding!) then look at My Latest Beauty Obsessions post which is somewhere among all my July 2015 posts and it should tell you more. Finally I put on some lipstick, I found that this colour was the best suited to this look, out of all my lipsticks but if you have a colour basically like this (deep pink - I know it doesn't show up that well on the photo) then that's fine. The one I used was a Lasting Colour lipstick in the colour Sugar Plum.

That was all, I know these are very short posts but I really like writing them and I hope you enjoy reading them and maybe trying some of the looks out!  Post soon xx
**I have been watching Superwoman (Lilly Singh, an AMAZING YouTuber!) soooo much lately and I even had a marathon on Wednesday just watching all her videos! I really recommend watching her if you don't already because I think she is really funny, and keeps it real as well. If you have any other favourite YouTubers feel free to put them in the comments below!**

What I pack in my suitcase for holiday...

So I was thinking of what to do for this post, then I realised that its the holidays (I know, a bit late realising that!) and I thought I could do a post about packing for going away for a holiday. I can't do everything I pack for going away because it would take me a whole year even if I was packing for a week so I'm only going to do what I put in my suitcase (and even this is a smaller version of what I pack!)
Anyway, hope you enjoy it because I had to pack a suitcase and after I've written this, I'm going to have to unpack it again!

The first two things I pack are my coat and cagoule. You may ask why I pack two things that are basically the same thing. I don't really like cagoules but my mum always makes me pack it apparently in case it rains, which is a fair point but we could just choose to go somewhere that's always sunny because I hate cagoules! Couldn't we? Anyway, rant over! But that's why I always pack another coat in there and it is almost always is my black mac (that I actually got when I was 11 but it still fits... thinking about it now, that sounds bad) because then I have an option to wear it if it isn't raining. Or even if it is raining!

The next things I pack are shoes! Lots and lots of SHOES! I promise you I am not that mad about shoes. Ok... that was a lie... I might be... but that's for you to decide! Plus the only reason I packed three lots of shoes in the suitcase this time is because I wanted to give you a range of shoes for different types of holidays because to be honest with you the holiday I'm going on soon, there would be no point in sandals unless it was hot (which probably isn't going to happen much!). But I put them in there because some of you might be going to somewhere hot (or you just like them, idk!), I put my Nike trainers from Sports Direct in there because they are always comfy and I'm going on a holiday with a lot of walking. I also put in my suede slip-ons form Matalan because they are super comfy and look soooo pretty and I just love them!

Next up, I have put together two outfits that I think are nice for holiday. They aren't very posh - more cute but comfy (sorry, I don't go on posh holidays!) and they are also my style anyway. I think that this outfit is really nice for going down to the beach or just anywhere really. I really like the yellow 'Perfect Pineapple Punch' t-shirt which I got from the Next outlet in Braintree a while ago and the high-waisted jean shorts are a new pair I got from Tesco.

I really hope this picture makes me look really tall! If it does, I am so happy as I'm actually quite short and I've stopped growing already (I'll just have to make up for it by marrying a tall man, haha!) This outfit is one of my all time favourites. I love the navy ad white striped crop top because it is really swingy (that's a proper word?) and it has really cool lace trim on all the edges. I can't actually remember where I got it - just got a good idea - I will check the label! It's from Tesco. It also goes really well with the high-waisted (I see a theme here) black jeans which have rips on both knees because I am amazing like that! Yes, I bought them like it. It isn't a RIP-off, get it?? I'm so funny (not)! The jeans are from Tesco. Oh, would you look at that? It's an all-Tesco outfit! How coordinated am I?

You might be wondering where the underwear is. Don't worry, I do wear it! I usually put the underwear and socks rolled up in the middle of the outfits because it saves more space which you definitely need when I'm packing.

The next thing you may or may not have to pack are girly stuff! ;) If you don't have to then you are so lucky, believe me, it is not nice. I also think that it's just better to pack them in case because periods always choose the worst time to come, honestly! If you know that you will have it while you're away then I recommend you pack quite a lot, as well.

If you want more secrecy for all your towels/tampons then these next things to pack are going to be helpful in hiding them in your case. I always include a jumper in case it's cold there and this time I've packed a burgundy cardigan so I can just throw it on if it's cold in the evenings or if we want to get out to go somewhere quickly. I have also put in a checked shirt which I can put over most outfits I choose to wear, you don't have to put it in if you don't want to though.

I then pack my spare glasses and my sunglasses (my first ones ever even if they are prescription - so happy!) but obviously if you don't wear glasses then you can just pack sunglasses or none at all.

To keep the glasses cases safe so the glasses inside don't break, I usually put some clothes over them to pad them if my suitcase gets squashed. This time I put my pyjamas on top of them. Yes, I have Vimto pyjamas - product placement!

Finally, these are the extra things I put in my suitcase. I put in my toilet bag but I'm not going to go into much detail about that because I thought I would not talk about all my makeup and shower stuff for a change but if you want to know what I pack then please tell me in the comment section below.

I also put in my Miami snapback which is from Sports Direct as that's the only place I know that sells No Fear Headwear (the best snapbacks ever!), a woven belt with strips of pastel pink, white and metallic pink going through it which is from Primark, my phone charger and my two knee supports. Yes, TWO knee supports! My knees are very dodgy (which sounds really bad when I'm only a teen!).

This is the final picture of it all packed together and I just about managed to pack it all! I would also like to point out that I only chose a small suitcase for this post so that is why I had to put less clothes and other things in than I normally would if I was going away for a week. Honestly, I'm not that bad!

Proof that I could still close it after all those things...

Well that was a long post! I really hope you enjoyed it and perhaps took a few ideas from it because I really liked doing it and I think I can honestly say I put a lot of effort into this. That's all for now, post soon xx **I'm going on holiday to Derbyshire (somewhere in the middle of England) this summer and I can't wait! If you've ever been please tell me what it's like in the comments section down below, I would love to know.**

My favourite makeup look of the week... (2)

Hi again! I'm really sorry if this Makeup Look of the Week post is a little bit late in the weekend but I hope you enjoy it!

I thought I would do a more dramatic makeup look for this week because the last one was quite natural. I only just thought of this makeup look the other day because I usually just try out new makeup looks randomly so I hope you like it (it's very blue - just a warning!) Also, I haven't included my base makeup but if you look at the first Makeup Look of the Week post then you can find out what I use.

First, I put a base shadow on my whole lid which is a white eye shadow from Natural Collection (I don't know if Natural Collection is around anymore as I haven't seen it but any white eye shadows can be used, I mean, it's only eye shadow!) Then, I build up gradual layers in the outer corner and bringing it into the other half of the lid (it has to look like it's getting lighter further into the eye) using the dark blue shade from the Sultry Eyeshadows palette by Technic. Lastly, you have to add a bit of the black shade from the same palette right in the outer corner just to make it look darker and then brush a thin smudge of the dark blue shade again, under the bottom lash line but only up to halfway because otherwise it will look too much!

Now for your lips, I think you could use either of these shades to go with the colours on the eyes. These lip glosses are both from different sets, the left one is a pretty, light pink shade with some specks of shimmer in by Colour Unlimited and the right one is more of a dark peach shade with more shimmer in by Colour Couture.

That was all for this weekend, I hope you liked this look.  I will be posting during the week again! Post soon xx
**Have you heard the new single Drag Me Down that One Direction suddenly released just the other day?? I'm so obsessed with it already! <3 Apparently it's number 1 in 82 countries on the iTunes Chart! That's just crazy lol.**
