So I was thinking of what to do for this post, then I realised that its the holidays (I know, a bit late realising that!) and I thought I could do a post about packing for going away for a holiday. I can't do everything I pack for going away because it would take me a whole year even if I was packing for a week so I'm only going to do what I put in my suitcase (and even this is a smaller version of what I pack!)
Anyway, hope you enjoy it because I had to pack a suitcase and after I've written this, I'm going to have to unpack it again!
The first two things I pack are my coat and cagoule. You may ask why I pack two things that are basically the same thing. I don't really like cagoules but my mum always makes me pack it apparently in case it rains, which is a fair point but we could just choose to go somewhere that's always sunny because I hate cagoules! Couldn't we? Anyway, rant over! But that's why I always pack another coat in there and it is almost always is my black mac (that I actually got when I was 11 but it still fits... thinking about it now, that sounds bad) because then I have an option to wear it if it isn't raining. Or even if it is raining!
The next things I pack are shoes! Lots and lots of SHOES! I promise you I am not that mad about shoes. Ok... that was a lie... I might be... but that's for you to decide! Plus the only reason I packed three lots of shoes in the suitcase this time is because I wanted to give you a range of shoes for different types of holidays because to be honest with you the holiday I'm going on soon, there would be no point in sandals unless it was hot (which probably isn't going to happen much!). But I put them in there because some of you might be going to somewhere hot (or you just like them, idk!), I put my Nike trainers from Sports Direct in there because they are always comfy and I'm going on a holiday with a lot of walking. I also put in my suede slip-ons form Matalan because they are super comfy and look soooo pretty and I just love them!
Next up, I have put together two outfits that I think are nice for holiday. They aren't very posh - more cute but comfy (sorry, I don't go on posh holidays!) and they are also my style anyway. I think that this outfit is really nice for going down to the beach or just anywhere really. I really like the yellow 'Perfect Pineapple Punch' t-shirt which I got from the Next outlet in Braintree a while ago and the high-waisted jean shorts are a new pair I got from Tesco.
I really hope this picture makes me look really tall! If it does, I am so happy as I'm actually quite short and I've stopped growing already (I'll just have to make up for it by marrying a tall man, haha!) This outfit is one of my all time favourites. I love the navy ad white striped crop top because it is really swingy (that's a proper word?) and it has really cool lace trim on all the edges. I can't actually remember where I got it - just got a good idea - I will check the label! It's from Tesco. It also goes really well with the high-waisted (I see a theme here) black jeans which have rips on both knees because I am amazing like that! Yes, I bought them like it. It isn't a RIP-off, get it?? I'm so funny (not)! The jeans are from Tesco. Oh, would you look at that? It's an all-Tesco outfit! How coordinated am I?
You might be wondering where the underwear is. Don't worry, I do wear it! I usually put the underwear and socks rolled up in the middle of the outfits because it saves more space which you definitely need when I'm packing.
The next thing you may or may not have to pack are girly stuff! ;) If you don't have to then you are so lucky, believe me, it is not nice. I also think that it's just better to pack them in case because periods always choose the worst time to come, honestly! If you know that you will have it while you're away then I recommend you pack quite a lot, as well.
If you want more secrecy for all your towels/tampons then these next things to pack are going to be helpful in hiding them in your case. I always include a jumper in case it's cold there and this time I've packed a burgundy cardigan so I can just throw it on if it's cold in the evenings or if we want to get out to go somewhere quickly. I have also put in a checked shirt which I can put over most outfits I choose to wear, you don't have to put it in if you don't want to though.
I then pack my spare glasses and my sunglasses (my first ones ever even if they are prescription - so happy!) but obviously if you don't wear glasses then you can just pack sunglasses or none at all.
To keep the glasses cases safe so the glasses inside don't break, I usually put some clothes over them to pad them if my suitcase gets squashed. This time I put my pyjamas on top of them. Yes, I have Vimto pyjamas - product placement!
Finally, these are the extra things I put in my suitcase. I put in my toilet bag but I'm not going to go into much detail about that because I thought I would not talk about all my makeup and shower stuff for a change but if you want to know what I pack then please tell me in the comment section below.
I also put in my Miami snapback which is from Sports Direct as that's the only place I know that sells No Fear Headwear (the best snapbacks ever!), a woven belt with strips of pastel pink, white and metallic pink going through it which is from Primark, my phone charger and my two knee supports. Yes, TWO knee supports! My knees are very dodgy (which sounds really bad when I'm only a teen!).
This is the final picture of it all packed together and I just about managed to pack it all! I would also like to point out that I only chose a small suitcase for this post so that is why I had to put less clothes and other things in than I normally would if I was going away for a week. Honestly, I'm not that bad!
Proof that I could still close it after all those things...
Well that was a long post! I really hope you enjoyed it and perhaps took a few ideas from it because I really liked doing it and I think I can honestly say I put a lot of effort into this. That's all for now, post soon xx **I'm going on holiday to Derbyshire (somewhere in the middle of England) this summer and I can't wait! If you've ever been please tell me what it's like in the comments section down below, I would love to know.**
